Montasio Fresco by Agriform
Montasio Fresco cheese is a typical cheese of the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Aged for a minimum of 2 months, it has a slightly nutty and fruity taste with a slight hint of hazelnut, yet remains mild and creamy in texture. Montasio kosher dop mark (denomination of protected origin) can only be produced in the mountainous region where the Juliana Alps mountains meet the Adriatic Sea. The traditions and the origins of Montasio are indeed ancient but it is only in 1950 that the first production plant was built, in Pasian di Prato, a small town of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The entire production takes place there, from breeding to the final product.
